    • This story had the potential, but not such a great execution. I liked Emma's character, as well as, Rhys (even though I still don't know how to pronounce his name properly). I believe that they could have passion and a lot of fire between the two, but they lacked that necessary heat as well as purpose to make me believe their connection. Her epiphany techniques were also rather uninspiring. Either she doesn't breathe a lot, or when she does she could find oil!I was a fan of the initial slow and [...]

    • Well this is the third book in Joya Ryan's outstanding Shattered series. This was also very good definitely five star read. I like the way Joya Ryan writes and will be looking into other romances she has written. Emma Wade who grew up in foster care, has worked hard to create a stable life surrounded by people she loves. But when her dark past catches up with her, Emma fears she might not live long enough to testify against the man who hurt her all those years ago. Her only choice is to run. Rhy [...]

    • That Emma was ughI did not really enjoy this book and it's all the heroine's fault. Damn she was just one annoying person. Most of her actions were downright stupid the solution to all her troubles was just lying there but she was too stubborn to just use it. I did not like her at all sometimes I felt for her but then she'd open her mouth and well my sympathy evaporates instantly. Rhys deserved so much more. The stars are only for Rhys because he was a damn good character Emma could go take a [...]

    • I got from amazon free thinking that it will WOW me but it didn't do much.I just thought the story held its own and the characters were pretty good. There wasn't much but it did cover like everything in the short amount of time it took for me to read. But just before the ending it came to life and then that was it. So, overall I just thought it was an okay read.

    • I like this one the most in the series.Character development was much better and the chemistry was real good. Also the falling in love phase which usually happens with a bang was slow n sweet in this one.

    • I listened to this series on Audiobook and listened to them back to back so I thought I would do a series review. Each of the novels had both strengths and weaknesses but overall I totally enjoyed the series and I would give the entire series a 4 star rating. The books individually did not always rate as high as that. I do have to say I love a 3 book series that has a beginning and an ending. I also liked that although each book was about a different character's story each on the previous charac [...]

    • As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by Zen Kitty4.5 out of 5 LicksCapture Me Slowly is the last book in the Shattered Series by Joya Ryan. This story focuses on Emma and Rhys. Emma is on the run from a past she’s tried hard to forget. She doesn’t want to risk the lives of the few people she cares most for, preferring to run and attempt to deal with the trouble on her own. Only, she’s unable to outrun it. When she met Rhys, the sexy veteran turned security company owner there was an inst [...]

    • I'm a fan of this author and this series but I had to stop this one. It was awful. I think I stopped reading at 40%. The h has a really wealthy brother but still keeps herself poor and will not use her trust money. She has been in trouble for a while because she has to testify against some guy and his brother keeps trying to kill her. So instead of going to her brother who has a lot of money to protect her, she is constantly on the run. She meets this other guy, the H, and keeps throwing herself [...]

    • Capture me Slowly is the third book in the Shattered Series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed this book but not as much as the first and second book in the series. The middle of the book just fell a little flat for me but the last part seemed to pick back up. One issue I had with this book (and have run into lately with other books) is that I just didn't think the heroine was very smart. To me, if your in danger and on the run and the head of one of the top security agencies in [...]

    • Perfection!I have been pulled into the world of broken alpha males that Ms. Ryan has created. Each story turning up the heat my desire for more. But, not until now have I felt completely satisfied. Rhys and Emma were the best! I don't know what it was or why, but Emma was my favorite character from the start. Her brash forward and loving manner just spoke to me. The mystery that surrounded her through the first two stories made me hungry to know her. The storyher story didn't disappoint.I'm thri [...]

    • Third book I have read from Joya Ryan and all of them read in the same day. It was that entertaining and just loved how the friends got their happy endings.Although this book was the least of my favorite amongst the three, I still enjoyed hearing about Emma and Rhys.If anybody deserved a happy ending, it is Emma. The things she went through as a child, I cannot imagine myself as being as strong and survive the experience. Yeah, she had hangups but who wouldn't. So glad she found her fairy tale w [...]

    • I suspect that I was expecting more. Emma and Rhys story wasn't bad. It just felt like there was something missing. The big reveal at the end added a bit of "drama" to the story but it was a bit too little, too late. Rhys and Emma were a bit dullt character wise per se but romantic wise. Sure their passion was written to be steamy but it almost felt rote, especially if you read the first two books in the series. I didn't dislike the story, I was just expecting to be wowed and I was not.

    • NOT THE BEST NOT THE WORSTI liked the book OK, but Emma's way of speaking to people, that didn't deserve it, grew tiresome. The descriptions given in finite details were boring and yet when you wanted more to the plot it ended. No more on Sara, no more on Carlos, nothing was even mentioned of Meagan and Preston, did Rhys and Emma get married? It had the potential to be good, it just wasn't. The only really good thing about the story was how GOOD Rhys was.

    • Worth the one-clickI like Ryan's writing style.   I finished in one day. She creates interesting characters with varied baggage and develops a story that keeps you wondering how it will turn out.                                               This book has a good story line and includes steam/love/friendship/relationship/and some sensitive subject matter.  I liked Rhys he was swoon-y and sweet Emma was ok. Definitely worth the read, interesting sto [...]

    • Audio ReviewThis was greatbut my least favorite of the trilogy. I couldn't wait to get to Emma's story I wish however, her guy was a bit more dominate like Adam but he was good for Emma Story was enjoyablebut ending I am sure there is like half of the book missingNarration was great same as the other two booksWorth a Credit or sale not a buy b/c I am not sure this is all of the book.

    • This book followed two amazing sister books and I was so excited to start it. It started out slow and I had a hard time getting myself to finish it. The overall story was great, a little different than the first two but great non the less but is was very slow. I think whole book could have been written in about 10 chapters. Nonetheless, it was good and worth the read to complete the story of 3 lovely ladies.

    • Again another fabulous book by Joya Ryan. I have loved this series and think that Joya is an amazing writer!!! Love the storyline and the characters are fabuolous. Love that the book is complete at the end with no cliffhangers, but with the characters being apart of the next books as secondary roles. Rhyswhat a hotty and Emma is such a strong woman.absolutely perfect for each other!!! Look forward to more books by Joya!!

    • Love it!!!The story keep you on your toes you wasn't sure what was going to happen next. I like that in a book , I would recommend this book to Anyone who's looking for excitement and adventure all-in-one this is it.

    • Holy hotness Rhys Striker. I love your leading men Joya Ryan - smart, sexy with a sad history . And these leading ladies - Emma was kickass. She infuriated me a little to start with till I really got into her character then she made total sense to me. A great read

    • MovingMovingI love books that the characters have a lot of chemistry together. That they have to work through something before they see what is right in front of them.

    • I loved the story and it was a great read. I don't think it was as good as the last two books but still loved it. 4 stars as I think the ending just sort of stopped.

    • 3.5 stars. While I enjoyed this story, like the first one it left me wanting more. An epilogue would have been wonderful

    • This book had drama, alpha males and a romance that was based on some lies and some real feelings . It is Emma 's story
