    • Good addition to the series, set in Wyoming, 1885. (Mediocre narration by Keith Traction, though). I loved the scenes with the children, the puppies, and the old war horse, Jet. Good to see Annie and Michael from the prequel Terms of Surrender. I also liked the sequel, book 3, Terms of Temptation, which includes all these characters and moreOT: At the book's beginning, the heroine (Tess) is fleeing for her life from an abusive husband, taking her two-year-old son with her. She has been severely [...]

    • Very enjoyable. I was engaged all the way through. Author is a solid writer.Good dialogue. Good descriptions of living. I’m happy the couple did not have a fight-breakup, which most romance authors do. And there was no stupidity and none of my other pet peeves. For readers who are reluctant to read about domestic violence. The abuse scenes were not lengthy or detailed. The story begins with Tess already injured, and she recalls the way her husband hit their child Scottie once. Within a day afte [...]

    • I ADORED book one in this series, Terms of Surrender. I thought for sure Lorrie Farrelly would score another home run with grown-up Robbie Devlin's story, but sadly this was just a base hit. It says a lot when my favorite scenes were snapshots of Annie and Michael Cantrell (the H/h from Terms of Surrender) rather than Robert and Tess. This book would have been ten times more thrilling if the first scene had been beat-up Tess fainting on the train, to be saved by the dashing widower, Dr. Devlin, w [...]

    • Wonderful Romance with a Paranormal ElementIn dead of night in 1885, Dr. Robert Devlin's guardian angel Gavin informs him he's a work in progress. Rob is an accomplished physician and a University of Colorado clinical faculty member. He does the best job possible as a single father to Gracie after his beloved wife Sarah's death. What can be worse than to be found wanting by a guardian angel?Tess Rutledge seems to have it all. She lives in luxury in Denver. She has a wonderful toddler son Scottie [...]

    • I couldn't wait to read this. After enjoying the first book so much, this shot to the top of my to-read-and-review list. This book had a gentler start and it didn't have the constant nailbiting suspense of the first book in the series, Terms of Surrender, but I think that was partly because of the sweeter main characters in this book - Rob and Tess, as opposed to Michael and Annie. Michael and Annie definitely put in an appearance, as does Gavin, but this is most definitely Rob's story. The suspen [...]

    • Another wonderful story from Lorrie Farrely, Terms of Surrender does a fabulous job of drawing the reader in from the very beginning. One again, I loved the characters, well, except for Graham, who I despised, but we're supposed to. I pacing was great, keeping me turning the pages and thinking "just one more chapter." There is a little bit more paranormal activity in this one than the last. I usually don't mind that, though there was one occurrence in this book that I could have done without. No [...]

    • This is my second book by this author. I so thoroughly enjoyed Terms of Surrender that I couldn’t pass up Terms of Engagement. The story was pretty much what I expected and more, the more being, the sad life of the heroine, Tess, and her son, Scottie, at the hands of her husband. When she met Rob, Dr. Robert Devlin, I feared for him throughout the story. Thank God for his guardian angel, Gavin, otherwise, my fears would have been realized. The author worked around this beautifully and turned w [...]

    • Not that realistic enough for meI don't think. the author knows much about abused woman. Usually it takes at least a year or years even to trust another man to touch you. I did like the guardian angel of the doctor. So did Tess ever have another baby? I am believing that she did!!!

    • I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Very well written, some scenes even so well written I became teary eyed from emotion upon reading them. This is the second in a series, but can be read as a stand alone book without any difficulties. If you like historical romances and suspense, then you should give this book a try.

    • Love in the west continuesLove in the west continuesI so enjoyed the first book that I started reading this one at once. Another generation faces danger in the quest for love and happiness. I am looking forward to the next saga to unfold. I know now that I'm glad to have a new to me author to read and recommend.

    • I read Terms of Surrender and loved it! I've now read this one, the second in the series, and found it every bit as engaging as the first. I love Lorrie's writing - it sweeps you along, and her characters are very vivid.I'll be back for more!

    • I thoroughly enjoyed Terms of Engagement. I am so glad I found this author. I love historicals. Most folks just know me as a romance writer, but I'm an historian, as well. Farrelly did not make a misstep. this is a really nice read.
