    • Good ReadAnother great read in the series. It left me hanging and need to know what comes next. Looking forward to the next book.

    • AwesomeThe keynote in the series has been that most of the characters are driven by fear. Unfortunately, their leaders are also and everyone is following their separate agendas. No one in this stew of betrayal and plots is sharing facts that their allies might need. A madman, or properly a second madman is poised to take control of the doomed army. A third madman is determined to assert total control of the last town. It gets gritty. Religion and military strength usually leads to a bloody mess [...]

    • Another Can't Put Down ReadWilliam and his mother Ella, along with his sister and Bray travel to the Ancient City. And they aren't the only ones to do so. Blackthorns and his army arrives too for the fight of all time. But there is a twist to the story that will shock all readers alike.

    • A must read! I can't say stress how great this series is. I am kinda sad I'm fixing to start the last book! However, I saw last night there is another series about this series! I'm so excited. These guys are talented! Keep them coming please!

    • Walking TalkingThis is like watching "The Walking Dead", upset because it's over with no ending and yet anxious to read the next book. SPOILER: I wish it had been Winthrop instead of Blackthorn.

    • The series gets betterI like post apocalyptic thrillers and this series is certainly among the best I've read. I would recommend it to anyone with similar interests.

    • Book Four - The Last CommandOnce again a heart stopping episode bringing me nearer the end of this series. Not sure my heart can take the twists and turns of this series lol

    • This series keeps getting better and better. Characters are changing, some better and some worse. I'm dying to know what happens next! I've said this in the rest of my reviews in this series, amazing authors and excellent narrator!

    • Quite an interesting read as the story has minor characters, mostly protagonists, that develop into major characters as the series moves along. The major characters at the beginning of the book are mostly antagonists that cause the minor characters much pain and heart ache as well as physical cruelties. Instead of these minor characters becoming weaker, they overcome their antagonists in very different ways unique to each of their personalities. The series moves along quite well and with each pa [...]

    • This series gets better with each installment but worse for the characters. It's a brutal and barbaric world where suspicion, ignorance and a strange religious fever holds the people, while those in charge lead them like fearful sheep to slaughter. In addition to the 'demons'd yet I wonder who is worse in some instanceswhose might is hard to conquer, but then - (no spoilers from me).Although, we learn more of Blackthorn's history and see the reasons behind his mind-setat give us a kind of underst [...]

    • As General Blackthorn takes his army of 19,000 people from Brighton in what people think is to destroy a large herd of demons, some of those people defect back to Brighton as part of a group intent on overthrowing the government to end it's brutal ways. While Blackthorn and his army are fighting demons, he runs into another problem, Winthrop is slowly losing his mind, and taking members of Blackthorns army with him. As the army closes on the Ancient city, Blackthorn and his cavalry end up fighti [...]

    • Another great bookAnd another great read! This story follows along extremely well, bringing us ever closer to the culmination. There are some plot twists that I wasn't expecting, and although shocking, they add some strength to the story that brings it closer to the stark reality of the challenges that pit man against man. It's hard to not feel as if I'm a part of the story, a historian, watching and waiting to write about the events for future people to understand how they go to where they are. [...]

    • This was the best of the series so far. A lot of action and character development. My only negative is the volume of characters that this story follows can be quite jarring and hard to follow at times. The constant shifting from different character's point-of-view can make it a bit disjointed and there is some characters that have practically been forgotten about in this volume - Ivory and Jingo as an example. But, that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for the next volume.

    • Why? Why do I need a tittle? I'm not the writer! That's the only thing I don't like about writing reviews. Anyway, now that I got that out. This was a great read! Action & thrilling to the end. All my stars in the book have found there roles and this book heated up. ( No pun intended ☺) I could really see this book as a. Movie! I can 't wait until they all come together in the ancient city. At least I hope they do.

    • Great plotSo, after many pages the story still has it. Even when you think you are getting the general pictures, both Bobby and T.W. manage to surprise the readers. Let's see how far can they take this plot.

    • ANOTHER ROUND OF MADNESS, MONSTERS AND MAYHEM IT IS.Hello, these people are afraid of their own shadow. Ignorance is a terrible thing, but curable. Stupidity is a death sentence. I hope these people find their cure before it is too late. Thanks.

    • Good series Read the mall it's worth it. Book one explodes into book to which fits nicely into book 3. Look for one month they culmination is certainly headed in the right direction towards your nap that to me seems mysterious

    • The story finally came together in this book!!! The best in the series so far. The authors keep you into the story and Ive ordered the next one, all I can say is that I can finally get back back to the other books on my to read list until the next installment. Dont miss this series!

    • As the series goes on it gets better and better! This one left me a cliff hanger and now I can't wait to read the next one.

    • Just gets better and betterThese books have taken on a faster and faster pace, very good read. Highly recommend. I can't wait to purchase the next book!

    • Good readThe storyline is interesting. I would like for a few more bad guys to die and a few more good guys to live but am enjoying the series otherwise.

    • This book was a bit slow but could see why it was more of a set up book for the next installment. Good not great.

    • Great seriesI've really enjoyed this series so far. Can't wait until the next book in April. Nice to know it'll be here soon
